Jimmy and I sang in Chorus. He had a very good baritonel We also decided to box in the Golden Gloves. I had boxed a couple times in the Novice Divisions. In Novice we boxed guys our own age and weight but we were both 16 this particular year. We had to fight guys in the same weight class but any age. We both fought older guys. We both suffered defeats. Jimmy was a good friend in school. Believe it or not i recently asked about him because he, Buddy Hatcher, Jimmy Brown and i did a lot of cut up singing on trips with the chorus. So sorry but there is a chorus in Heaven for sure. He was in a car accident in 1985-86 which put him in a wheelchair for a couple of years.  He was never able to return to work. He had a major heart attack and surgery in 1997. From that time on, his health slowly deteriorated as his COPD progressed.   Jim was my best (Carol Anderson) friend. He always told me that I was his best friend..  He was funny, sweet, loving and giving and a lot of fun to be witht. He loved  to travel and enjoyed helping a friend make the arrangements to get the migrant farm workers to  the tobacco farm. During the summer he really enjoyed the friendships of the Mexican workers, becoming very close to them.  He loved his dogs, Sunshine, Bullet, Sweetpea, Ubu, Cleo, Connie and Nikki and his cats.
