Such a fine man. We graduated High School with George. He was a good student, a good football player and a good friend. May he rest in peace...Gene and Rachel Davis

George was a close friend and we had so many good times together. Over the years we connected by phone from time to time. I will miss him. He was a smart, solid person who could always be counted on. He was a starter on the basketball team and I remember a humorous incident related to that. He was fouled at the end of one game and his two shots were critical. Atypically, he missed them both.  That night I asked him what happened.  He said, " the basket was moving back and forth and I led it in the wrong direction". That was George. My sympathy to Carol Jean and his family.
