Alene Cohen Strause passed away on Thursday evening, May 26, 2011.  Services to be held at Temple Israel, 4901 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC, at 2:00 pm on May 27, 2011..  Alene had been ill for quite a long time and fought bravely, yet remained cheerful to the end.
