She was born Nov. 6, 1939, in Gaston County, and was daughter of the late John Albert and Clifford Burch.
She was the owner and operator of Joyce's Auction for over 20 years, first female bus driver in Gaston County and drove for Kerns Trucking.
It was Joyce's wishes to be cremated like her beloved husband Tommy.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City, with Pastor Raymond Johns officiating.
VISITATION: 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the home and 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lujane Smith and husband Barry; son, John Forrest Berryhill; daughter, Belinda Tidwell and husband Phillip; grandchildren, Lil' Tommy Berryhill, Brandi Berryhill, "Roni" Berryhill, John Berryhill, April Smith, Josh Blanton and Shane Tidwell; brothers, Johnny, Gene, and Joe Burch; sister, Delores Hoyle; special friends, Marlene, Nancy, Pat, Becky, Diane, Dennis, Brenda, Samantha and Jackie.
